Thor Hinckley

Thor Hinckley grew up in Chicago and moved to Portland over 35 years ago he has been active in environmental engineering, Green Buildings, renewable energy and electric vehicles. While working at Portland General Electric, he created and built the nation's largest utility green power program with over 250,000 customers enrolled to buy green power. During this same time he co-founded the 1st Unitarian Church's Alternative Christmas Gift Market helping to raise money for underprivileged people in the developing world. Thor and his wife Alison have adopted a BIPOC student from the Gambia in West Africa, and are supporting his education at PSU. Last year, Thor's wife Alison donated a kidney on behalf of a BIPOC woman living in Portland.
