Friends of Mt Tabor Park endorses the 2025 parks levy under the following conditions:

Portland Parks and Recreation communicates clearer budget justification (quantitatively not anecdotally), surrounding the large levy rate increase.

The levy oversight committee and City Council takes a very active role in ensuring that the funds are used efficiently and that Portland Parks and Recreation finds ways to constrain expenses and prioritize ongoing parks maintenance.
The Friends of Mt. Tabor Park is a volunteer-driven community group that nurtures Mt. Tabor Park as a healthy and thriving urban oasis for everyone. Come explore nature and history with us, and learn how you can help!
